Interactive mode is a form of online usage of your device in which your device may be controlled remotely through our servers, either by you or by another person. When you use your device in interactive mode, your device connects to one of our servers using an encrypted connection, identifying itself with the device token key. When our installed application or web application (“Client”) is used to access your device, the connection is made using an encrypted connection to the same server to which your device is connected. All communication between your device and the Client goes through the encrypted connections through our server.
You may control your device yourself using our Client, or you may allow another person to control your device using our Client by providing that other person with your device’s token. You can change your device token at any time. Changing your device token will break all of your connections to the server and block access to your device using the old device token. You may break your internet connection immediately by turning off your device at any time while using it in interactive mode.
When our Client is used to control a device, commands are sent through our servers to a device. The commands are routed to the correct device using the device’s token key. When the device needs to send a response back to the Client, it is relayed through the same server to the connected Client. Note that there can be multiple Client connections to the same device at the same time.
Our servers act as a command broker between your device and the connected Client. We are able to see what commands are being sent to a device through our servers but we do know the identity of any users issuing or receiving those commands. We can see, for example, that a particular Client sent a command to a particular device to change from experience 5 to experience 6, or that a particular Client sent a particular device a command to increase the speed from level 3 to level 7, but we cannot identify the users of the device or the Client.
We store communication between your device and the connected Client for debugging purposes and we may also use this information for analytical purposes to improve customer experiences.
When you use the web application Client (currently at app.autoblow.com), we use third party analytics services (for example, Google Analytics) to monitor the app usage and we use this information to identify errors, incompatible browsers, and generally to detect issues we need to fix to improve the user experience.
We use your information, together with the information from testing and running our network, to provide the online usage features for your devices and for management of your online account, if you choose to create one. This information is used to provide, support, improve, protect, analyze and bill for our products, service and network; to communicate with you about your service, products or applications; to better understand how you use our products and services; to detect and avoid fraud; and for internal research for improvement to our Products and Services.
